Tixel Face and Eyelid Rejuvenation in Seattle

FDA-Approved Treatment for Wrinkles and Dry Eye Relief

We are thrilled to introduce patients to a minimally invasive method that can restore smoother, tighter, and more youthful-looking skin on the face, eyelids, or even your neck. Tixel C® is a fractional skin rejuvenation system designed to address stubborn skin conditions.

The key to Tixel C’s effectiveness lies in its Thermo-Mechanical Action® (precisely controlled heat). Gently applied to the skin, this sophisticated technology delivers remarkable aesthetic results. Tixel C is suitable for all skin types and ages, making it a safe and versatile treatment option that can be used year-round in any climate.

What is Tixel?

Tixel is a fractional skin rejuvenation system that uses Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA) technology—combining heat and motion to stimulate your skin’s natural healing response. This innovative device has been used in Europe for over a decade and received FDA approval in the U.S. in 2021 for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation.

In August 2023, the FDA expanded its approval to include the treatment of periorbital wrinkles (crow’s feet). Shortly after, studies revealed that when applied to the eyelids, Tixel could also improve meibomian gland function—directly addressing one of the root causes of dry eye disease.

In December 2024, the specialized Tixel I (“Tixel Eye”) device was released, making it possible to safely treat delicate eyelid areas for both cosmetic rejuvenation and dry eye relief.

At Cannon EyeCare, we use both Tixel I for eyelid treatment related to dry eye/MGD and Tixel C for cosmetic rejuvenation such as crow’s feet.

Benefits of Tixel Aesthetic treatments

Tixel Eye Rejuvenation is designed to improve both appearance and eye comfort:

Cosmetic Benefits:

  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes
  • Improves skin texture and tone
  • Minimizes discoloration, including sunspots
  • Softens acne scars and other facial marks

Medical Benefits for Dry Eye Relief:

  • Enhances meibomian gland function
  • Reduces evaporative dry eye symptoms
  • Stimulates healing and regeneration of eyelid tissue
  • Results can last for up to six months after a treatment series

How Tixel Eye Rejuvenation Works

During treatment, Tixel exposes 5–10% of the treatment area to precisely controlled heat (400°C) for a fraction of a second. This brief but intense energy triggers a healing wave, encouraging collagen production, skin renewal, and improved oil flow from the meibomian glands.

A standard treatment plan includes three sessions spaced two weeks apart.

What to Expect During and After Treatment

  • Before: A numbing gel is applied to minimize discomfort.
  • During: Patients may feel warmth and a light tapping sensation.
  • After: Mild redness or swelling may occur, similar to a mild sunburn, lasting up to seven days. Temporary skin flaking is normal as new skin cells replace old ones.
  • Comfort Care: Over-the-counter pain relievers like Tylenol can help manage post-treatment discomfort.

Why Choose Cannon EyeCare for Tixel Eye Rejuvenation?
