Cannon EyeCare in Seattle is not in network with VSP. Here is why.

Cannon EyeCare in Seattle is not in network with VSP.
Cannon EyeCare is OUT OF NETWORK with VSP, which means we do not bill them directly. Our patients with VSP (or EyeMed, Davis, Spectera) pay out of pocket for their eye exams at Cannon EyeCare. Then we will make it easy for you to get PARTIAL reimbursement with a simple form filing. VSP reimburses about $44 for a routine eye exam, and about $150 for an eye exam with a contact lens fit. Cannon EyeCare charges $225 for an eyeglass exam, and an additional $110 to $160 for a contact lens fitting.
Here Is Why We Do Not Take VSP
Cannon EyeCare is dedicated to taking our time with patients so that we may really solve the patient’s vision issues. We don’t just give you 5-10 minutes of face time with the doctor like most vision clinics (and ophthalmology clinics) do.
As a result, we see fewer patients per hour than most clinics. This means that we cannot afford to take the very small ($45) payment that VSP offers. It turns out Vision Plans are not really that valuable.
There is a local Seattle company called Amazon that uses VSP to provide vision benefits. There is a LOT of VSP (Vision Service Plan) around Seattle. If you want to use your eye exam benefit at an in-network clinic, you can do that. However, the quality of your care is likely to suffer when you let your insurance provider dictate which doctor you can see. We all choose our own adventures in life, as they say. You can find an in-network eye doctor at VSP.com
We hope that you will give Cannon EyeCare a try by booking below. If not this time, then perhaps we will get to work with you at some point in the future.
